Mauby’s Quest for the Magic Flower
Peter Laurie; illustrated by H. Ann Dodson

8 1/2” x 4” • 48 pages • full-color illus. throughout
ISBN 9780333953136 • hardback • $11.95

All is not well on our beautiful Caribbean island. One of the farmyard animals is very ill. Farmer Hunte fears the worst. But the other animals do not despair. They know who will come to the rescue: Mauby the Cat!

Mauby’s second adventure, the follow up to Mauby’s Big Adventure, sees our favorite cat undertake a difficult and dangerous journey to find the magic flower needed to heal the farm animal.

We see Mauby meet up with old friends, such as Clipper the Crab and Sly One, as well as meeting some new faces, including a cheeky, but helpful group of monkeys.

Mauby shows great adventure and courage to reach the mouth of the cave that shelters the magic flower, but will she be brave enough to enter and face the ferocious monster?

Peter Laurie, a Barbadian, was educated at Oxford University in England. Until retirement he was a career diplomat for Barbados.
