Breakfast
200 Recipes to Enjoy Any Time
Brian Wilton; foreword by Nick Nairn

7 1/2 x 9 1/2 • 224 pages • full-color photos
ISBN 9781902927381 • paperback • $22.95

Tired of toast and too busy to bother first thing in the morning? Breakfast will change forever the way you feel about breaking your fast.

Crammed with recipes, hints, food facts, and nutritional tips, Breakfast is the complete guide to making the most of that first meal of the day. Its unique combination of background information and simple but tasty dishes brings you everything from tips on cooking the ultimate fry-up to tempting dishes from all over the world—not to mention menus from as far afield as Mars Diner in Toronto and the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire.

So whether you’re making your own tastier versions of staple products such as fruit juice, juesli, yoghurt, and tomato ketchup, or having fun with your kids making eggclops and ham fritters, this is your breakfast bible. Breakfasts will never be the same again.

Brian Wilton’s
interest in food preparation was kindled at scout camp when he failed his Cooking Badge after attempting to heat the breakfast beans by throwing the can into a roaring campfire. Since then, he’s traveled the globe and eaten breakfasts in many a far flung place: Cypriot boarding school, the Canadian outback, Singaporean street stalls, Malayan jungle, and A1 greasy spoons to name but a few. A strong advocate of reducing our reliance on convenience foods, Wilton also passionately believes in teaching cooking skills to children so that they can enjoy a more fulfilling and healthful culinary lifestyle.

Brian established his own marketing consultancy in Scotland. Brian promotes the concept of living to eat rather than eating to live; of getting back to basics and reducing our reliance on convenience foods. He is also a passionate advocate of teaching cooking skills to children so that they can enjoy a more fulfilling and healthy culinary lifestyle.
